Sherri Lynn Gorog

Sherri Lynn Gorog, 67 years old, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Center for Hospice, Mishawaka. Sherri was born on August 3, 1953 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Wilma (Nussbaum) Gorog. She worked as a manager in the dry cleaning industry. She was also the former manager of Cedar House Restaurant in South Bend. Sherri lived in Minneapolis, MN for 13 years, moving back to South Bend three years ago.
Sherri is survived by her sister, Gloria Gorog; brother, Terry Gorog; brother-in-law, Joseph K. Puzynski; niece, Lynn Noel; nephew, Joseph L. Puzynski; and great nieces and nephews, Parker Noel, Taylor Puzynski, Alyssa Ford and Trenton Castillo. She is also survived by the Joo, Goodline and Nussbaum families. Sherri will be missed by many friends in Minnesota and South Bend. Along with her parents, Sherri was preceded in death by her sister, Jennifer Puzynski.
Per Sherri’s wishes, her body has been donated for medical research to help others. A memorial service will be held, time and day to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sherri Lynn Gorog may be donated to St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
