SOUTH BEND - George E. McClurken Jr., 59, of South Bend, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013, in Memorial Hospital.

George was born March 12, 1954, in South Bend. to George and Betty (Swope) McClucken Sr. George was preceded in death by his father, George McClurken Sr., and stepfather, Jim Rainwater. On September 15, 1979, in South Bend, George married Sandra (Annable), who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Betty Rainwater of South Bend; his daughters, Jennifer (Bryan) Kendall of South Bend and Dawn (Frank) Wieczorek of South Bend; four grandchildren, Christopher Leonhard, Ryan Warren, Zachary Kendall, Cameron Kendall; and sister, Judy (Dennis) Troxel of South Bend.

George had worked at Mohawk Doors for 36 years. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Roseland. George enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR, (Kasey Kahne) his favorite driver, Chicago Bears, country music, and mostly traveling to Hawaii with his wife.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14th, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 till time of service on Saturday.

Cremation will be held at Welsheimer Crematory.
