Joseph J. Wayer

Joseph J. Wayer, 58, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in his home.

Joe was born June 2, 1958 in South Bend, to Joseph and Jean (Kaman) Wayer. Joe was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas D. Wayer.

Survivors of Joe include his mother, Jean A. Wayer; son, Joseph Thomas Wayer, III; grandchildren, Joseph A. Wayer IV, and Alec K. Wayer; friends, Emma Aguirre and Sue Sarasin; and a sister, Linda Molnar, friend.

Joe retired in 2012 from Honeywell. He was a member of the American Legion Post #284. Joe enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, and playing basketball. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandsons.

Visitation for Joe will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Rd. with a Funeral Ceremony to be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow take place at St Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN, 46545 and Miller's Vets, 747 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601.
