Walter Gaza

South Bend - Walter Gaza, Jr. 65, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018.
Walt was born November 26, 1953 in South Bend, to the late Walter & Mary (Van Vynckt) Gaza, Sr.
On December 21, 1974 Walt married Gertrude (Wiltsie) Gaza, she preceded him in death on March 16, 2013.

Survivors of Walt include his daughter, Betty (Scott) Ingole; grandchildren, Alyssa Rutkowski, Kaytelynn (James) Randolph, Sydney Rutkowski, Ryleigh Rutkowski, Alyssa Hutton, Zackary Ingole, Sierra Ingole; great-granddaughter, Sophia Randolph; and brother, Mark (Brenda) Gaza.

Walt worked as a painter at AM General for over 35 years. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church. Walt enjoyed fishing, talking and socializing, painting cars, trips to the casino and taking long drives with his wife. He loved his dogs, and most of all, he loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.

Visitation for Walt will be 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd, with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:30pm
A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am on Monday, January 7, 2018 with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
