Donald Charles Ehninger

Feb. 24. 1951 – Apr. 7, 2000

Donald Charles Ehninger, 48, departed this life on April 7, 2000 after a series of complications related to a kidney transplant.

Don was an active member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Knoxville, Tenn. He held an especially cherished place in his heart for the church sponsored Youth Sonshine Choir of which he was the director for many years.

Don leaves in loving memory his wife, Carolyn (Krouse) Ehninger and their daughters, Kari Ehninger of Nashville, Tenn., and Jamie and Holly Ehninger of Knoxville and his parents, Charles and Fern Ehninger of South Bend as well as many loving family and friends.

There was a glorious celebration of Don’s life which was held at Cokesbury United Methodist Church on  April 9, followed by a reception for friends.

Don graduated from LaSalle High School in 1979 and from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., in 1983.

On Sunday, June 4, there will be an interment graveside service at 1:30 p.m. (Ind. time) 2:30 p.m. (Michigan time) at the Portage Prairie United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2450 Orange Road, Niles, Mich.  All friends are welcome.
