CAMDEN, SC - Funeral service for Thomas George Heyde, 63, will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the family to help with final expenses.
Mr. Heyde died Sunday, May 12, 2013. Born in South Bend, Ind., he was the son of the late Lawrence Clarence and Mary Teresa Bagarus Heyde. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Eberts Heyde; son, Thomas J. Heyde (Melissa) of Leesville; daughter, Mary Kathryn Heyde (Brandon) of Gilbert; stepchildren, George Musialik of South Bend, Ind., Suzanne Benninghoff of South Bend, Ind., Tina Eberts of Camden, Greg Eberts (Sandra) of Camden, Shawn Eberts (Amanda) of Camden, Shane Eberts (Leanna) of Lancaster and Jesse Roberts (Tammy) of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Susan Maldonado (Raymond); 19 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Tara Dahl (Eric), Stacey Lutz and Stephanie Horvath.
