SOUTH BEND - Donald “Don” Lee Reeves passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016, in Hemet, California.
Don was born in Mishawaka on November 19, 1950, to Donald and Opal Reeves. Don was the first of four children.
Don was in the Honor Society and Glee Club at LaSalle High School and graduated in 1969. He married Kathryn Wilson at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on June 27, 1971, and was the first wedding in the new building.
Don was very active in the Coachman Auto Club and the annual Cavalcade of Wheels car show at Notre Dame.
Don, Kathy and their two sons moved to California in 1986. Don worked at DaFoe Furniture, selling furniture to preschool and elementary schools throughout Southern California. Don was very involved in the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) where he was a referee and a board member for Moreno Valley East Region 736.
Don is survived by his mother, Opal Niver; son, Bill; son and daughter-in-law, Jim & Jessica; granddaughter, Caitlyn; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Rae and Mike Jazz; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Elaine Barry; and sister, Margie Ann Owens-Patka.
Don's wife Kathy and his father preceded him in death.
