Services will be Sunday for a brother and sister killed Thursday night in a traffic accident on U.S. 20.
Charles E. Pinter, 19, of 5445 Rose, was born on Jan. 19, 1956, in, South Bend and had lived here his lifetime He was a 1974 graduate of LaSalle High School.
Jane Ellen Pinter, 13, was an eighth grade student at Warren School. Born on Oct. 1, 1961, in South Bend, she had lived here her lifetime.
Surviving are their mother, Mrs. Keith Carbiener; their father, Eugene J. Pinter a, paternal grandfather, Charles Pinter; one brother, Richard Eugene, and two step brothers, Terry and Kevin Carbiener, all of South Bend, and a stepsister, Mrs. John Dean of Denver, Colo.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul's Memorial United Methodist Church of which both were members. Rev. Henry Weber, pastor and Rev. Charles Cook, pastor of the Main Street United Methodist Church, Kokomo will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and until 1 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, and after 2 p.m. until services Sunday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Freedom of Choice in Cancer Therapy, Dr. Kelen Calvin, 103 S. Eddy.
