BEVERLY LAKE

SOUTH BEND - Beverly Lake, 53, of South Bend, Indiana departed her life on July 10, 2012 of a sudden death. She was born in South Bend, Indiana to the union of Sally Lake and Curtis Lake Sr. on January 9, 1959. She accepted Christ at an early age. Beverly was a loving person; loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Beverly would've taken care of anyone's children. She was affectionately known as "Tee-Tee" by everyone who knew her.

Beverly graduated from LaSalle High School and attended Ivy Tech College of South Bend. She was employed by the Kroc Center and with Stacy Odom Sweetum's Cleaning Services.

She is survived by her mother, Sally Lake; her son, DeJuan Lake; her sisters: Veronica Lake-Miller, all of South Bend, and Janis (Stanley) Lake of Bristol, Indiana; 3 grandchildren: Denyjha Lake, Devyl Lake and DeJuan Lake, all also of South Bend, Indiana; significant other for 35 years, Douglas Newsome; a special uncle, Luke Tyson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Lake Sr.; brothers: Curtis Lake Jr. and Samuel Lake; paternal grandparents: Sam and Annie Lake; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Nettie Tyson.

Funeral services for Beverly Lake will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Adams Street, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Visit www.clarkoneal.com to sign her guestbook.
