Derrick K. Willis, 56, of South Bend, Indiana entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 3, 2014. He was born on February 5, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana to the union of Walter and Marjorie (Harris) Willis.

Derrick confessed Christ at an early age in his life. Derrick received his formal education through the South Bend Community School System, graduating from LaSalle High School. His employment history included working for the City of South Bend for a period of time.

He is survived by daughters: Derricka Willis of Indianapolis, Indiana, Vanessa Willis, Jan Willis, Derria Willis, Lori (Carlos) Pack, all of South Bend, Indiana; sons: Derrick Richardson and Delato Willis, both of South Bend; a sister, Demetria E. Rutledge of Phenix City, Alabama; a niece, Tallisha Washington of Indianapolis, Indiana; aunts: Louise M. Willis of South Bend and Juanita Burrell of Des Moines, Iowa; 20 grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Derrick was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marjorie Willis; and a sister, Regina M. Davis.

There will be no services or visitation held. The family solicits your prayers.
