DOMINIQUE JACKSON OBITUARY

Dec. 29, 1983 - July 20, 2013
SOUTH BEND - Dominique Deon Jackson, 29, of South Bend, Indiana, was born into eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 2, 1990. On July 20, 2013, he departed this earthly life as we know it. Dominique was born on December 29, 1983, from the union of Allen and Annie Jackson.

Dominique graduated from LaSalle High School in 2002 where he was in the Marching Band, Jazz Band and the School Band. Dominique had love for the community he grew up in all his life. Affectionately known as "North," he was a very talented musically. His church home was Faith Baptist Church under Rev. George Joseph and Pastor Stephen Perkins. His work history included Meijer, St. Joseph Care West, DRC Corporation, and most recently the Studebaker Museum as a maintenance worker. Of all the accomplishments of his life, his greatest achievement was being the best father he could be to his son. Thank the Lord, for He gives us the victory!

His memory will be cherished by his son, Dominique A. Jackson; and the love of his life, Yolinda Odemba; parents, Annie Jackson and A.D. Jackson; stepmother, Forestine Blake-Jackson; maternal grandmother, Christine Merritt; siblings: A.D. Jr. (Ines) Jackson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carlos (Kamillah) Jackson of Dallas, Texas, Tempest Jackson of South Bend, Indiana, and Deshawn (Kristen) Jackson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He had a special love for all his family, friends and the Odembas'. His special nephews including Kenzee, Kameel, Carlas, Coomi; and niece, Jalyn; close cousin, Christine Merritt; adopted brothers: William Ward II and Darius Garner; and all of his friends.

Dominique was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Silas and Lizan Jackson; great-grandparents, Joe and Beatrice Jackson; maternal grandfather, Charlie Sturdivant.

Visitation for Dominique Deon Jackson will be held today, July 26, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc., 2702 Lincoln Way West. Funeral services will take place at 12 noon Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Faith Baptist Church, 1002 Blaine Avenue, South Bend. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
