Sophia (Lloyd) Dotson

Sophia Dotson May 17, 1969 - May 7, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Sophia C. "Tommy" Dotson, originally of South Bend, IN., passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, on May 7, 2014 at 7:30 p.m., with God at her bedside and love from her family. Tommy was born May 17, 1969 in South Bend, IN, to William H. and Velma (Jordan) Lloyd, Jr.

She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1989 and was involved in several sports including basketball, track and cross-country. After graduation she worked as a home health-aide prior to moving to Arizona in 2003. While there, she continued to work as a home health-aide until she became ill.

Anyone who knew Tommy knew she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She really enjoyed time with family, sharing fond memories and calling everyday just to say "hello". Tommy's favorite color was pink and she loved canaries.

She is survived by her mother, Velma L. Lloyd of South Bend, siblings, Angela E. Gaines, Satia L. Lloyd and Erica M. Lloyd all of South Bend, IN, Angelo L. Lloyd of Bloomington, IN, and William H. Lloyd III of Bedford, IL, along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Her father, William H. Lloyd, Jr., preceded her in death in 1998.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Alford's Mortuary. Viewing will take place at Alford's Mortuary one hour prior to services. Arrangement's have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary. www.alfordsmortuaryinc.com
