Patrick Clayton Schwanz

Patrick Clayton Schwanz, 28, of 842 S. 27th St., died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at Green Springs Manor Nursing Home, after an extended illness.
He was an electronic technician for Ames Division of Miles Laboratories in Mishawaka.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1956, in South Bend and had lived here all of his life.
On May 26, 1979, in South Bend, he married Wendy G. Beaton. She survives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ned (Rita) Schwanz of South Bend; a sister, Miss Deborah Schwanz of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Cyrille E. Schwanz of Venice, Fla.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Church, with Rev. Joseph A. Jacobs, pastor, officiating. Cremation will be at Riverview Crematory.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
He was a member of the church, a 1974 graduate of LaSalle High School and a graduate of the United Electronics Institute of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lobund Cancer Research Laboratory of the University of Notre Dame, or to the Neutron Theraphy Facility at Fermilab of Batavia, Ill.
