Connie Jo Corey Dosmann Abbinante was many things to many people: Mother. Wife. Daughter. Sister. Grammy. Friend. Aunt. Cousin. Colleague. Neighbor. She smiled her last smile on December 11, 2021 at the beach in Destin, Florida at the age of 63.

Connie was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 4, 1958 to Robert and Judith (Dunbar) Corey. She is survived by children Megan (Dosmann) McKnight and Nicholas Dosmann and their spouses Peter and Stephanie respectively, husband Vito Abbinante, brother Kent Corey, grandchildren Samuel (8), Mirielle (8), Adrienne (5), Maxwell (5) and Penelope (2), stepchildren Vito, Ian, Noah, Livia and Jocelyn Abbinante, niece Kayla, her husband Brian Leck and daughter Emersyn, nephew Bryan Corey and first husband Roger Dosmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, infant sister, Shelly Beth and longtime canine companion, Wrigley.

Connie loved life’s simple pleasures. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with family and friends and watching the Chicago Cubs fly the W.

Connie’s life will be celebrated on Monday, December 20 at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel in Mishawaka, Indiana. The viewing will take place from 2-5 pm with a service beginning at 5 pm.
