Jill Weaver - Class Of 1982 VIEW PROFILE

Jill Weaver

Jill M Weaver

Jill M Weaver, 59, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully while in the comfort of Ernestine M. Raclin House, Center for Hospice, with family by her side. She was born to William W. and Jeanne M. Weaver in South Bend, Indiana on August 30, 1964. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Nancy Weaver, her favorite cousin Victoria Rose Miller and her best buddy, Jack the Pug.

She graduated from LaSalle High School, South Bend, IN in 1982. Her working life included several factories in Elkhart where she was shift supervisor, finally retiring from the City of South Bend Public Works Service Center.

In honor of her cousin, Vicki, Jill was an advocate for breast cancer research, walking in the annual breast cancer walk and purchasing items that promised a donation to the cause. She proudly displayed her pink ribbon tattoo and wore her pink t-shirts and shoes, all the while proclaiming she wasn't that fond of the color. She had a deep love for all animals and participated in many activities that benefitted them. She loved Lucille Ball, NASCAR, Pepsi and the ND-LEEF eagle cam and was an avid follower of Notre Dame football, the Chicago Cubs, the Green Bay Packers and, most fervently, the Notre Dame Women's basketball team. She made it a point to attend their Pink Zone game every year where a portion of the ticket sales went to several breast cancer initiatives.

She will be sadly missed by her sister, Janice (Bruce) Reaves; brothers, Gary and Jason Weaver; nephews, Jeremy (Allison) Reaves and Brady (Taylor) Weaver; great nephews, Brayden and Ryland Reaves and Forrest Weaver; great nieces, Delilah, Daisy and Millie Weaver; her aunt, Marianne Murphy and all the Miller family cousins. She is also survived by the Reaves family, Mark, Kim, Katie, Will, Joey, Grace and Tara whom she loved as her own and who loved her in return.

The family would like to thank the staff at Michiana Hematology Oncology, Dr. Rolan Pascual, nurse Jill and the Ernestine M. Raclin House staff for their care and kindness during Jill's illnesses.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend, with an hour visitation held before the service. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jill's memory may be made to Kay Yow Cancer Fund, 4804 Page Creek Ln Suite 118, Durham, NC 27703 or Pet Refuge Inc., 626 S Burnett Dr, South Bend, IN 46614.
