Farrin Wigfall

Farrin Darrell Wigfall

Farrin Darrell Wigfall was born on December 14, 1963 to the union of Andrew J. and Mary Myrtle Wigfall in South Bend, Indiana. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 57.

A lifelong resident of South Bend, Indiana, Farrin attended LaSalle High School and graduated in 1981. Farrin was baptized at an early age at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful attendee at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Farrin was united in holy matrimony to Aretha Peals on September 3, 2016. Farrin was an employee of AM General for 19 years, from 2002 through 2021. He loved his job and loved to dance when he was on his breaks.

Farrin loved to dance. His signature moves were always requested when he went out dancing. Farrin became so good at dancing that he became a teacher and taught others the art of Chicago-Style Stepping. Farrin would travel around the country just to go stepping. Farrin was also an avid car collector. He called them his "toys." He was always restoring or repairing cars for himself and others. He took special pride in his vintage cars and often won first place trophies at car shows. Whenever, he drove his vintage cars, they would attract attention, and people of all ages would stop him to ask about them. He was often seen driving his cars and wearing his sunglasses.

Farrin loved and adored his dogs and personally trained them. From his early childhood, Farrin developed great skill at arcade games. He won prizes all the time.

Farrin was always doing something to help his family and friends. He loved to crack jokes while giving advice. He was a great cook, who enjoyed grilling and making up recipes. One of his specialties was macaroni and cheese.

Farrin leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Aretha Peals Wigfall; mother, Mary Myrtle Wigfall of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; two sons, Farrin Wigfall Jr., proud Air Force member at Patrick Space Force, Florida and Terrell Hines of South Bend, Indiana; two sisters, Carmen Wigfall of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Kathye Waters of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Andrew (Renee) Wigfall of Fishers, Indiana and Keith Wigfall of South Bend, Indiana; three uncles, Esaw Parker of South Bend, Indiana, Robert Bates of Saginaw, Michigan and Ross Bates of Henning, Tennessee; six aunts, Dora Morrow of Springfield, Massachusetts, Ida Wigfall, Ruth Mincy and Delores Parker, all of South Bend, Indiana, Alice Russell of Woodbridge, Virginia and Carstella Douglas of Henning, Tennessee; devoted friend, Clarence “CJ” Jones of South Bend, Indiana; an adopted son, JoVonte Peals of Laporte, Indiana; mother-in-law, Charlene Peals of Laporte, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and loving friends.
