SOUTH BEND - Lisa Michele Smith, 43, of Glendale, AZ, formerly of South Bend, IN passed away August 29, 2016 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ . She was born January 30, 1973 to Samuel and Evelyn (Allen) Smith of South Bend, IN.

Lisa leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Samuel and Evelyn Smith; two sisters, Stephanie (Tarzan) Ball and Sharon (Charles) Davis, both of South Bend, IN; five nieces, Grace, Anastasia, Cecilly, Mya, and Camille; her nephew, Carson; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends, Angie, Apryl and Shelly. She is also survived by her godson, Kai Williams. Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney L. Smith; her paternal grandparents, King and Lucy Smith; paternal step-grandmother, Odester Smith and maternal grandparents, Eddie and Shirley Allen.

Lisa was a graduate of LaSalle high school, Class of 1991. Lisa also received her Associate's and Bachelor's degrees from Indiana Institute of Technology in Business Administration and was employed as a special provider-educator at Conifer Health Solutions in Glendale, AZ.

Lisa enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, occasional trips to the casino, traveling and winning on scratch-off tickets. She loved quoting movie lines with her sisters and niece, Anastasia, and let's not forget her adorable cat, Kiki, who she adored. She was loved by many friends and family.

Funeral services for Lisa Michele Smith will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel; 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
