Brian David Rohde

Brian D. Rohde, 53, of Plymouth, IN, and formerly of South Bend, IN, died peacefully at 4:20 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Hospice House, South Bend, after a brief illness.

He was born on July 9, 1959, in South Bend to the late Gerald D. and Judith Ann (Dunham) Rohde. Brian was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Beverly K. Rohde.
 

Brian graduated from LaSalle High School with the class of 1977. After graduation he enlisted with the U.S. Marine Corp. and proudly served his country from 1977-1983. He worked as a machinist for Adapto for over twenty years and later for Janco Industries in Mishawaka, and attended the Christian Center Church in South Bend. He was an avid hockey fan, especially enjoyed following the Boston Bruins.

Brian is survived by his son, Brian Austin Rohde, his loving companion, Lynnette Alexander, step-daughter, Jessica Alexander-Banicki all of South Bend, two step-grandchildren, Jason & Joey Reed, a sister, Barbara (Douglas) Baney of Plymouth, IN, a niece, Amanda (Frank) Thomas, a nephew, Wesley Garrison, Jr. and three great-nephews, Tyler & Cody Thomas, and Gavin Garrison.


Memorial Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October17, 2012 at the Christian Center Church, 530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend. Military Honors will take place at the conclusion of the service, by the American Legion Post #284, South Bend. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4-6:00 p.m. at the church. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville Chapel and the Southlawn Cremation Services assisted the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and
Christian Center Church in South Bend.
