Stephen J. Karasiak

Stephen J. Karasiak, 51, of Skye Court, South Bend, Ind., passed away following a brief illness at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
Stephen was born March 7, 1952, in South Bend, to Adam and Leokadia (Banasiak) Karasiak. He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Karasiak, and by his stepfather, Piotr Dyczkowski.
On March 30, 1985, Stephen married Louise Morehouse in South Bend. She survives. He is also survived by his stepson, Brian S. Morehouse of Fremont, Ind.; his mother, Leokadia Dyczkowski of South Bend; a sister, Mary (Walter) Biskupski of South Bend; and by two brothers, Benjaman (Linda) Karasiak of Granger, Ind., and Henry (Charlotte) Karasiak of South Bend. Stephen also has four nieces and three nephews.
Stephen was a wonderful, loving husband with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed working with model trains and cars. Stephen was fun-loving and well thought of by all who knew him. He had worked for Conrail and the Norfolk Southern Railroad for 33 years.
Friends may call Friday, June 20th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka.
