James V. Lambert, 69, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 12, 2020 at his son’s residence in South Bend, IN. He was born on May 6, 1950 in South Bend, to Howard and Bonnie Lambert.

James is survived by his daughter, Glenda Lambert of South Bend; four sons, Robert (Melissa) Lambert of Elkhart, IN; Howard (Gina) Lambert of South Bend; Dale (Sandra) Lambert of South Bend; and Jimmy Lambert of Bristol, IN; sixteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his mother, Bonnie (Brock) Brown of South Bend; four sisters, Darlene Pinkowski of South Bend; Patty Simon of Buchanan, MI; Cheryl Beavo of South Bend; and Kim Gambee of South Bend; and brother, Michael Lambert of South Bend. James was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lambert, as well as his grandson, Allen Brittain.

James was employed as an electrical contractor for utility companies, retiring after 35 years of service.

Funeral services for James will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Pastor Bob Baird of Suburban Gardens Church of Christ in New Carlisle, IN, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00am-1:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
