Charles Carroll Henderson

SOUTH BEND - Charles C. "Chuck" Henderson, 56, of South Bend, IN, died following a brief illness on Monday, February 4, 2008, in his home.
He was born on February 26, 1951, to the late Lloyd C. and Irene R. (Balcerzak) Henderson in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with his parents, one brother, Gregory J. Henderson, also preceded him in death.
Chuck graduated from LaSalle High School in South Bend and from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, in 1973. Mr. Henderson retired in 2001 as a buyer from the Honeywell Corporation after 28 years of employment. Following retirement he worked as a sales representative for various different companies.
On February 27, 1993, he married Vicki L. Treece in Lima, OH. Along with his loving wife, Vicki of 15 years, he is survived by one daughter, Amanda Nicole Henderson at home, and one son, Matthew Charles Henderson of South Bend, IN. Chuck was a member of Corpus Christi Parish where he was very active in both the church and the school. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed following his daughter's extracurricular activities, including her involvement with sports.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM today, February 7, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 8, 2008, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Teachers Credit Union for Amanda Nicole Henderson's future education (please make ref. to Vicki L. Henderson).
