Survivors include his wife, Edith (Shubert); a daughter, Monica M. McCarthy of South Bend; a son, Charles J. of South Bend; a sister, Mary B. McCarthy of South Bend; and a brother, James R. of South Bend.
Private services will be held at a later date. St. Joseph Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
