Jeffrey F Remble - Class Of 1969 VIEW PROFILE

Jeffrey F Remble

11/19/1950 – 9/19/2023

Jeffrey passed away while surrounded by his family after a 3-year battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his father Jim Remble, his mother Ruth Remble-Briscoe, and his older brother John Remble.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife Debbie, his high school sweetheart of 49 years and 3 sons, Adam (Vi), Aaron (Amanda) and A.J. (Alex). He is also survived by his granddaughter Addison and twin brother Jerry, as well as his 4th “son” Archie (his cat).

He loved his family and cherished any opportunity to spend time with them, give advice, and watch them grow into unique, loving, and successful individuals.

Jeff graduated from IUSB in 1974, after playing one year of college football at Indiana Central in 1970.

Jeff was an avid runner, running in 50 races, 3 of which were mini marathons. He played in several 3 on 3 basketball tournaments as well as the St. Pius basketball league for several years.

Jeff was a well-known and respected commercial banker of 43 ½ years. He built long-term relationships with his clients and took pride in helping them succeed.

He never hesitated to help those in need. His deeds were subtle and quiet. He volunteered for “Christmas in April”, “Adopt a Highway”, “Roseland Rotary”, “Civitan International” and “Habitat for Humanity”. He also volunteered and maintained the Country Side Estates signs and lawn for over 25 years.

He enjoyed antiquing with his wife yet considered himself a minimalist.

He loved the sun and the beach. He loved to vacation in Mexico with Debbie (16 straight trips) and enjoyed time with the entire family in South Haven Michigan.

He never considered himself a final product and always worked on continuous learning and personal development. He studied the stock market, which became a favorite hobby for him during retirement.

Jeff placed great importance on integrity in everything he did. He learned to seek and appreciate the simple pleasures and small victories in life. He lived with a heart of gratitude. He also learned the importance of kindness and generosity. Mental strength/mental toughness became Jeff’s trademark during his battle. He strove to always maintain a positive attitude. He lived a calm, modest life and was a humble and selfless husband, father, and friend. Jeff wrote his own script and he found inner peace.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Pl., Mishawaka, IN 46545 or any charity of the donor’s choice in Jeff’s honor.
