Pamela J. Price, 67, lifelong South Bend resident, passed away at 6:23 am Wednesday, August 15, 2018. She was born January 13, 1951 in South Bend to Norman and Mary (Weaver) Hutchison.
On May 23, 1981 in South Bend, Pam married Thomas L. Price, who preceded her in death on August 19, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her father, Norman.
Pam is survived by her mother, Mary Hutchison; sisters Becky (Dean) Harter and Karla (Marti) Gillean; brother, Eric Hutchison; and daughters, Kim (VanDeVeire) and Jim Philson of North Liberty IN, Ericka (VanDeVeire) and David Williams of South Bend IN, and Charlena (VanDeVeire) and Chris Santa of South Bend IN. She was also the beloved grandmother of 21 grandchildren, Angel Philson, Amy Philson, Tony Philson, Tommy Philson, Heather Kurtz, Matt Philson, Mark J. Philson, Brandon Philson, Mark Philson, Cassie Leslie, Kassie Radcliff, Stewart Philson, Emily Philson, Katie Philson, Elden Philson, Briendel Philson, Josiah Philson, Maya Williams, David Williams, Brandon Santa, and Christian Santa; and 11 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pam worked for Reinke Construction for 20 years before retiring from the University of Notre Dame catering department after 15 years. Pam was an active volunteer at the Center for Hospice Care bereavement department, where she helped facilitate a craft group that she truly enjoyed.
Her family would like to thank her friends at hospice as well as her caregivers with hospice.
Funeral services for Pam will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, August 18, 2018 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, with Denise Gilbert, Hospice Chaplain officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home prior to services.
