Andrew Wright, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Mishawaka, IN, at the age of 73. Born on March 10, 1952, in South Bend, IN, Andrew's life was marked by his unwavering kindness, his love for his family, and his passion for basketball.
Andrew was the beloved son of the late Elvie Beatrice (Green) Wright and Eugene Page. He grew up in a lively household with his brothers, the late James Leland Wright, Anthony Wright, Michael Joseph Wright, Terrance Michael Wright, and his surviving siblings, George (Doris) Wright III of Granger, IN, and Wayne Palmer of Park Forest, IL. Andrew's legacy continues through his adoring children, Brittany Wright of Lawrenceville, GA, Trinnon Wright of Lawrenceville, GA, Andrew Wright Jr of Peru, IN, Keshawn Wright of NV, Trajon Wright of New Castle, IN, and his stepchildren, Barry Chandler of South Bend, IN, and Charlene Chandler of GA. His life was further enriched by the joy of his 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory with love.
Andrew's life was a testament to his enduring love for the game of basketball. Whether playing on the local courts or animatedly discussing game strategies, he found great joy in every aspect of the sport. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he often used the game to connect with others, sharing life lessons and laughter in equal measure.
Andrew's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will forever be a beacon of warmth and love. As we bid farewell to a man of great character and joy, we celebrate the remarkable life of Andrew Wright and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts.
Graveside services for Andrew will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 1, 2025, at Southlawn Cemetery, 61430 IN-931, South Bend, IN. A repast luncheon will be held at the Golden Corral Restaurant on Main Street and Douglas Road, Mishawaka after the service.
