SOUTH BEND - Richard A. “Ricco” Bowman, 56, of South Bend, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016, in Memorial Hospital. Richard was born June 3, 1960, in South Bend, to Richard and Joan (Frohwerk) Bowman. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard O. Bowman. Richard is survived by his son, Eric (Starla) Bowman, of Mishawaka, his mother, Joan (Timothy) Gallivan of South Bend, three grandchildren, Deric Bailey, Kyla Bowman, and Kaylin Bowman, fiancée, Jamie Fiedler of South Bend, and two sisters, Gayle Carpenter, of Billings, Misssiouri, and Kim Bowman of South Bend. Richard worked as a machinist at Kessington Machinery, in Elkhart, IN. He was a 1978 graduate of LaSalle High School, a member of ABATE of Indiana, and Crumstown Conservation Club. Richard was always caring for others and loved by many and hated by none. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13th, at Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14th, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 51490 Laurel Road, South Bend, with Rev. Gregory Fiechtner officiating. Friends may also visit with the family one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger.
