Rudolph Ronald Miller, Jr. 77, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in his home. Rudolph was born on July 8, 1948 in South Bend to Rudolph R. Miller, Sr. and Esther (Pluta) Miller.
After high school Rudolph served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He then went to work for the Bendix Corporation and retired from Bender Plastics in South Bend.
Rudolph is survived by his sister, Carol Rush of South Bend, Indiana; two nieces, Tracy (David) Agostino and Kimberly Dance both of South Bend, Indiana; one great niece, Alexis Agostino; three great-nephews, Kevin (Sarah) Agostino, Nathan Agostino and Charles Dance; and one great great-niece, Evelyn Agostino.
A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home Chapel, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Rudolph was a member of the 1st graduating class at LaSalle High School. He was a volunteer at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana and an Usher for the University of Notre Dame football games. He enjoyed diamond painting, loom knitting where he made scarves and wash cloths that he loved to give away to family, friends and his fellow cancer patients at MHO. He enjoyed going to the casino, long Sunday drives, golfing and bowling. He did bowl one 300 game. Rudolph’s family wishes to thank the employees at the Northern Indiana Food Bank for their kindness towards Rudy. He loved volunteering and felt like he was part of the family, you all meant the world to him. Keep doing the great work you do!
The family would also like to thank Dr. Khan, Dr. Tran and the staff at Michiana Hematology Oncology and the Center for Hospice Care for their loving care of Rudy. Memorial Contributions should be directed to the Northern Indiana Food Bank.
