Susan "Jamie" Paula Zygulski

Susan “Jamie” Paula Zygulski, 77, of South Bend, passed away peacefully Friday May 8th 2026, surrounded by her family,

Susan was born on January 23rd, 1949, in South Bend as the daughter of Stanley and Florence (Dembinski) Zygulski.

She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1967.

She met the love of her life, Yvonne Caffery, on October 28th, 2005, whom she married 9 years later on October 28th, 2014. They resided together in South Bend.

Susan is survived by her wife, Yvonne, her sister Elaine (Mark) Lemon, and her nephew Scott Lemon.

Susan was a nurse working in the health care industry for many years, helping people in several facilities around the area. After her nursing career, she worked in the manufacturing industry for many years before transitioning to her job at the University of Notre Dame from which she retired.

Friends and family are welcome to come and share stories and memories on Tuesday May 12 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the Hahn Funeral Home 505 W 8th Street Mishawaka with funeral services to begin at 5:00 PM with Fr Arthur Joseph Ssembajja of St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic church officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to her wife, Yvonne, for final expenses.
