Michael Allen Bonczynski

Michael Allen Bonczynski, age 66, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on October 9, 2025, in his hometown. Born to the late Joan (Babcock) Bonczynski and Richard Bonczynski on September 1, 1959.

He will be missed by his surviving family: his fiancée Sachan Bassett, with whom he found a love that shined brightly; his sister Karen (Raymond) DeVite; his sister Lisa Spicer; and his nephews and niece, Darrian (Kelly) Spicer, Dalton DeVite, and Delaney DeVite.

He dedicated many years of his life to the culinary world as a cook, where he shared his passion and skill for creating delectable dishes.

Beyond the kitchen, Michael found solace and joy in his two favorite pastimes—bowling and fishing. Many a weekend was happily spent at the local bowling alley. His love for fishing took him to Potato Creek where he found tranquility and contentment with nature as his companion.

Per the families wishes, no service will be held.
