Philip Joel Burner, 65, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 after an illness.
Philip was born on August 10, 1950, in South Bend, the son of Frederick and Verda (Dudley) Burner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Kelley.
On June 29, 1974, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married Kathryn De Neve. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; a daughter, Anne Burner of San Antonio, TX, and a sister, Helen Arvesen of Plano, TX.
Philip graduated in 1968 from La Salle High School and in 1975 from Ivy Tech. He retired as a Regional Manager for AZZ Galvanizing in Sterling, IL. He was a member of Izaak Walton League, St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and Knights of Columbus Council 1878 4th Degree. Philip was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 13 at 4:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Rev. Vincent Joseph will officiate.
