Quintelia N. Gathright, age 59, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Sunday morning, July 30, 2017 in her home.

Quintelia was born on July 16, 1958 to Lillian M. (Murphy) Gathright-Love  and the late Nathaniel Gathright. Quintelia graduated from LaSalle High School and was employed as a cook at Bethel College before she became unable to work due to her battle with Lupus.  She enjoyed watching TV, playing cards with friends, dancing, bowling, and was very passionate about reading.  Quintelia loved to spend quality time with her daughter, Angel and her love, George.  She was a mother figure to all who came in contact with her. She had a million kids who called her mom, even though she only gave birth to one!

Quintelia leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, George E. Foree, Jr.; her daughter, Quintelia “Angel” Foree (Tamika); stepdaughter, Laminda Foree; stepson, Keyshawn Foree; two grandchildren, Stacia and Tionna Johnson; her mother and stepfather, Lillian and Louis Love; sisters, Sheila Gathright, Natalyn Newson(Henry), Anneta Gathright, Natonya Gathright-Love(Morris); her brother-in-law, Carlos Fowler; nieces, Jazmyn Bridges, Moriah Love, and Morissa Love; nephews Asa Gathright, Brodrick Ross, and Lonnell Gathright(Bityah); along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Gathright; sister, Tongie Fowler; and her brother, Nathaniel Gathright, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, August 7, 2017 at New Birth Christian Ministries, 749 Harrison Street, South Bend, IN.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Repast will be in the basement of the church following services.
