In Memory
Dennis Allan Worm
February 25, 1955 ~ July 17, 2025 (age 70)
Dennis Allan Worm, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Bremen, IN, on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
Dennis was born on February 25, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late William Roger and Helen (DeMeyer) Worm. From an early age, Dennis discovered his lifelong passion for farming while working alongside his beloved grandparents. These formative experiences instilled in him a deep respect for hard work and perseverance that would define the rest of his life.
His natural mechanical aptitude was evident from a young age. After graduating high school, Dennis pursued a skilled trades apprenticeship at Ivy Tech, which laid the foundation for a 30-year career at AM General Corporation. There, his precision, dedication, and work ethic earned the respect of his colleagues.
In 1975, Dennis married the love of his life, Rebecca. Together, they built not only a thriving farm, but also a deeply rooted and loving family. Their strong partnership was evident in every aspect of their lives, from their shared responsibilities on the farm to the joy they found in raising their children.
Dennis’s love for all things mechanical extended into his hobbies as well. He was a founding member of the South Bend Remote Control Club—a passion that brought him joy and lifelong friendships. One of his proudest moments was when the club’s flying field was relocated to the family farm.
In recent years, Dennis cherished life’s simplest pleasures—spending time with family and friends, sharing a meal, or visiting with neighbors during “crop tours.” His hearty laugh and warm "hello" were a welcome presence in every gathering.
The most treasured part of Dennis’s life were the special bonds he shared with his family and being Papaw to granddaughter Charlotte. Their time together was filled with joy, laughter, and gentle lessons—whether about life, the farm, or simply enjoying each other's company. These moments together created memories that will be cherished forever.
Dennis is survived by his two daughters, Amanda (Thomas) Rink and Kimberly Worm, both of Bremen, IN; granddaughter, Charlotte Rink; sisters Debra (Scott) Reinhold of Mill Creek, IN; Denise (Rick) Pfeiffer of Lakeville, IN; Donna (Wes) McQuinn of Niles, OH and brother Devon (Debra) Worm of Lakeville, IN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
Dennis’s legacy of hard work, quiet strength, and deep devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He touched the lives of so many with his kindness, wisdom, and steady presence. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate to be part of his life.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Palmer Funeral Home within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN. Pastor Jeremy Bobos will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
