SOUTH BEND - Vivienne Irene Cummings Lax, 49, of South Bend, IN, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at her home. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Fountain of Faith Church, 2214 Western Avenue. Cremation rites have been accorded.
She was born October 21, 1962, in Chicago, IL, to the union of Willis and Elaine Louise (Cornell) Cummings.
She was a 1980 graduate of LaSalle High School and had worked at TJ Maxx.
She was united in matrimony to Ronald Gene Lax on June 27, 1986, and to their union was born two sons.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Ronald G. Lax Sr. of South Bend, IN; one son, Ronald Lax Jr. of Aurora, CO; three brothers, Edward (Cleary) Cornell of Locust Grove, VA, Verne (Amy) Cummings of Indianapolis, IN, Vaughn Cummings of Manassas, VA; sisters-in-law, Donna (Lee) Haynes and Pamela (Bruce) Pfeiffer, all of South Bend, IN; brothers-in-law, Arthur (T. Ann) Lax of Kankakee, IL, Frank (Barbara) Lax of Ft. Wayne, IN, Durrell Lax of Maryland and Jerry (Carolyn) Lax of Hawaii, David Lax, Herbert Lax and Darryl Lax, all of South Bend, IN; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Terrance Lax; her parents; one sister, Valarie Cummings; four brothers, Valton Cummings, Vincent Cummings, Victor Cummings and Vann Cummings.
