MISHAWAKA - Richard L. Hoover, 61, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, in his home. Richard was born on September 23, 1950, in South Bend, to Harold and Berniece (Barnhart) Hoover.
He had been employed with Doc Pierce's Restaurant in Mishawaka for over 20 years. He had also been employed in the mail room at the former Robertson's Department Store in South Bend.
Survivors include his mother, Berniece M. Hoover of Mishawaka, IN; two sons, Richard "Benjie" Hoover of Mishawaka, IN, and Tim (Jessica) Hoover of South Bend, IN; his grandson, Brayden Hoover; and two sisters, Martha (Chuck) Browning of Mishawaka, IN, and Diana (Ken) Eby of Elkhart, IN.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Harold Hoover.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
