GRANGER - Diana L. Cichos, 57, of Granger, IN, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, in her residence.

Mrs. Cichos was born Dec. 2, 1950, in South Bend, to Adelbert and Evelyn (Norris) Wetmore, and was a lifetime area resident.

On Feb. 6, 1971, in South Bend, as Diana L. Wetmore, she married Daniel W. Cichos, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly A. (Tanner) Hatke of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Paul A. (Heather) of South Bend; two grandchildren, Stone and Jenna Cichos; one brother, Dennis (Vivian) Wetmore of Dunlap, IN; a brother-in-law, Robert Fox of Duluth, GA; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Patricia Fox.

She was a 1968 graduate of LaSalle High School and a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Diana was a loving wife and a devoted mother. She loved her family dearly and greatly enjoyed spending time with them.

The strength and spirit she displayed in the last twenty months against breast cancer was remarkable.

In the summer Diana took pleasure in visiting the nearby park with her grandchildren and afterwards coming home to feed them the strawberries they enjoyed so much. She also liked traveling when the opportunity arose, dog sitting for friends and family, and cooking. Diana's chop suey, lasagna and strawberry cheesecake were three of the food dishes that friends and family looked forward to her making. Her hobbies included playing cards, collecting duck figurines, and exercising.

She enjoyed life and always had a smile that would brighten up the room. Her laughter filled people's hearts with joy and her love and memories will be remembered always. Diana will be missed by all who knew her.
