Memorial services for Kermit Edward Lacy, 31, of 23758 W. Edison Road, who died Saturday night when he was struck by a South Shore Railroad passenger train in Lydick, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lydick United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Ind. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Michael O'Connell, deputy county coroner, said Mr. Lacy died of extensive injuries suffered in the incident. O'Connell pronounced Mr. Lacy dead at the scene.

Mr. Lacy was a maintenance man for Arby's Restaurant. He was born June 7, 1955, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.

Surviving are two sisters, Carol Lacy and Eleanor Lacy, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Paul of Mishawaka and Jerry of South Bend.

He was a member of the church.
