SOUTH BEND - Vicki A. (Nymberg) Richey, 57, of Woodbridge, VA (formerly of South Bend, IN), passed away Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013, unexpectedly at Memorial Hospital in South Bend surrounded by her husband and family members. She was born on May 16, 1956, daughter of Raymond John Jr. and Mary Frances (Dunn) Nymberg in South Bend, IN, and had lived in Virginia since 1993, coming from Taylor, MI.
Vicki graduated in 1974 from LaSalle High School in South Bend, IN, and received her Bachelor's degree in 1978 from Grace College in Warsaw, IN. Vicki was currently employed as a Senior Computer Network Trainer with ManTech International, Inc., in Arlington, VA.
On November 12, 1988, as Vicki A. Nymberg, she married John F. Richey at Mayflower Baptist Church in South Bend, IN. Vicki is survived by her husband of 25 years, John F. Richey of Woodbridge, VA; her father, Raymond John Nymberg Jr. of South Bend, IN; one brother, Raymond Nymberg III of Cummings, GA; three sisters, Marie (husband, Tom) Broyles of East China, MI, Patricia (husband, Gary) Nymberg-Sisk of South Bend, IN, Paula (husband, Tom) Hughel of Indianapolis, IN; and two special friends, Noreen Hicks of South Bend, IN, and Margaret Dush of Norfolk, VA. Also surviving are two nieces, Jill Whitford, Kara Nymberg; and four nephews, Paul Ullrich, Jeff Ullrich, Andrew Hughel and Zachary Hughel.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Frances Nymberg, & her sister, Laura Jean Ullrich.
Vicki enjoyed watching birds and tending to her garden.
