SOUTH BEND - Carl E. Ullrey, 60, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Richard L. Roudebush V.A. Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. Carl was born on June 11, 1952 in South Bend to Carl I. and Gwen E. (Burke) Ullrey. He retired in 1992 from the United States Navy. Most recently, Carl had been employed at the Kroger Store on Ireland Road.
Survivors include three sisters, Ellen Krzyzanski of Florida, Marcia Ullrey of South Bend, Indiana, and Rebecca Moskwinski, M.D. and her husband Jerome Moskwinski of Granger, Indiana; eight nieces and nephews: Kevin and Kyle Krzyzanski, Lindsay, Bridget, Nicholas, Teddy, and Kelsey Moskwinski; and his niece and Godchild, Molly Moskwinski.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Berrien Center, Michigan. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Carl was a 1970 graduate of LaSalle High School and a member of the American Legion Post #50.
