Robert Walker Martin

Robert Walker Martin, 51, of Ule Trail, Walkerton, Ind., passed away at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in his residence.
He was born in Holenwald, Tenn., to Robert and Mary (Johnson) Martin. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Martin.
He lived in the South Bend, Ind., area most of his life. On Feb. 27, 2003, in Plymouth, Ind., he married Michelle Boosi (Orlowski).
Robert is survived by his mother, Mary Martin; his wife, Michelle; four daughters, Christina Martin, Mary Martin, Nicole Martin and Bridgette Martin, all of South Bend; three sons, David Martin, Thomas Martin, both of Mishawaka, Ind., and Matthew Martin of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Kathrine Plencner of LaPorte, Ind., and Victoria Orlowski of New York; eight grandchildren; and by a brother, Larry (LouAnn) Martin of South Bend.
He belonged to Communication Workers of America, Local 4900, and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, April 11, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, in the funeral home. Burial will be at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend.
