Ricky Alan Lee, Sr.
Ricky Alan Lee Sr., 64, of Kent, Washington, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 29, 2024. Born on December 21, 1959, in South Bend, Indiana, Ricky was the son of Joseph Lee Jr. and Delores (Snelling) Lee.
Ricky grew up in South Bend, Indiana, where he attended primary through high school, ultimately graduating from LaSalle High School in 1978. Ricky was known for his athletic prowess, particularly his love for basketball. He was a talented athlete, and his passion for sports extended to his role as an avid fan. Described as charming, funny, and charismatic, Ricky had a gift for making others laugh and feel at ease. He cherished moments spent with his family, especially when gathered around a home-cooked meal. Ricky had a sweet tooth and never passed up the opportunity to enjoy delicious treats.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lee Jr. and Delores Lee, and his brother Anthony Lee. He is survived by his former wife, Sandra Lee, and their children, Ricky (Kristen) Lee Jr. and Raquel (Zac) Puffer, and granddaughter, Londyn Lee. He is also survived by brothers Michael (Dorothy) and Jerome Lee, along with nieces and nephews Michael Jr., Marcus, Shaunte'D, Cortez (Hannah), Alysha, and Amarion Lee and cousin Vanessa Umble-Johnson.
Ricky retired from Gia’s Bakery, in Seattle, Washington where he was employed for almost 2 decades. He was known for his impeccable work ethic, commitment to quality and team spirit. His fellow colleagues would tease him, saying he smelled like he was wearing expensive cologne.
Ricky will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his warmth, humor, and love.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Majestic on the River, 121 S Niles Ave Ste 13, South Bend, IN 46617
