Christopher Alan Ruppert
September 2, 1962 ~ September 9, 2026 (age 64)
Christopher Alan Ruppert passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 64 after a battle with cancer.
Chris graduated from LaSalle High School and was proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He began his career in the food industry, working at Bill Knapp’s and later serving as head chef at the Elkhart Moose Lodge. He eventually found a new path with KW Custom Controls, where he spent 26 years as an electrician and manager, building a long and dedicated career.
Chris knew how to enjoy the things he loved. He looked forward to playing poker with his friends, following NASCAR, and sharing his lifelong appreciation for Ford Mustangs. He was also an avid collector of vinyl albums and steins, always enjoying the hunt for another piece to add to his collection.
Some of Chris’s happiest times were spent at Little Crooked Lake. He loved being out on his pontoon, cruising around the lake and simply enjoying the water. It was a place where he could relax, spend time with the people around him, and enjoy life at his own pace.
Chris will be remembered not only for the things he enjoyed and the work he did, but for the many years of memories he leaves with his family and friends. Whether gathered around a poker table, talking about cars or NASCAR, listening to music, or spending a day on the lake, those ordinary moments became the ones that will now mean the most.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Joseph Ruppert and Mary Ann Ruppert.
He is survived by his brother, Mark (Julie) Ruppert, and sister, Jeanie Ruppert-Boling; nephews, Jim Buckley, Preston Boling, and Grant Boling; nieces, Sara (Alex) Boggs, Rebecca (Mason) Everett, and Colleen Ruppert; great-niece, Lila Boggs; and great-nephews, Cole Boggs and Henry Reese.
Chris is also survived by his cousins, Carol (Jay) Danner, Matt Reese, Dan (Mary) Reese, Linda Zimmer, and Marge Nemeth.
Chris will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his life.
A private service will be held at a later date.
