Constance “Connie” (Hess) Solomon

SEMORA, N.C. -- Constance "Connie" Solomon, 48, of 268 Canal Circle, formerly of Wakarusa, died suddenly while on vacation on Thursday (Aug. 1, 2002) in Frisco, N.C.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa, with the service immediately following at 3:15 p.m. Pastor John Lamason with Nappanee Missionary Church will officiate and burial will be at Olive West Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Durham, N.C.

Mrs. Solomon was born in Elkhart on Oct. 5, 1953, to Jack Sr. and P. Henrietta (Smith) Hess and graduated from LaSalle High School and Ivy Tech State College. She married Dennis Solomon in Jamaica on Feb. 27, 1998, and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Troy Wray of Holly Springs, N.C., and Chad (Sarah) Wray of Durham; a sister, Cheryl Beck of Wakarusa; and three brothers, Jack (Sally) Hess Jr. of Syracuse, Gene L. (Diana) Hess of Mattawan, Mich., and Dr. Gary A. (Sandy) Hess of Dexter, Mich.

Mrs. Solomon worked as an account manager for IBM.

Memorials may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or the American Heart Association.
