SOUTH BEND - Andrew Lee Gustafson, 66, of South Bend died at 7:21 a.m. Saturday, December 23rd in Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Andy was born April 23, 1951 in South Bend to Beverly J. (Norris) and the late Henry E. Gustafson and was a lifetime area resident. He is survived by his partner of over 30 years, David A. Zakrzewski; his mother, Beverly J. Wolf of South Bend; his brother, Bruce A. Gustafson of South Bend; his nephew, Brent Gustafson; and his beloved dog, Josie. He was preceded in death by a brother, David P. Gustafson.
Andy was employed at Wayne Heating until he was disabled by an auto accident. He greatly enjoyed music and owned thousands of CDs. He also enjoyed cooking shows, crocheting, and especially his quiet time at home.
He will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date. There will be no service or visitation at this time. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
