School Story

I was in the Black Cultural Society as I had a mixed family and wanted to learn more. I became treasurer my Senior Year. Actually think I was the first of my race to join in 1983 and 1984. I was in IOL and OEA. I worked my senior year at Riverview Cenetery and Crematoriium in South Bend and at that time, highest paid high school student in OEA IN South Bend ,as I was told at $4.00 an hour. I loved taking classes to do with business but hated math, go figure. I was Indiana Stateswoman in OEA in 1984. I found my love in high school and we got married and had two beautiful children. I enjoyed LaSalle High School 85% of the time. Lol.

Emerson Craig Butts married his high school sweetheart May 9, 1987. To our union we had a daughter and a son . Breanne and Emerson Jr. . As years went on we did divorce and he remarried and had a daughter in that union name Ashley. Craig and I met in IOL and it seemed we fell for each other pretty hard. Craig had joined the ARMY full time and had honorable discharge. He fell ill with Cancer and it seemed to spread fast but he was very brave for all he went thru in his lifetime. I honor Emerson Craig Butts SR. Respectively Toni Lynn Butts ( Wiser) 84 LaSalle Lion Graduate also.

Been so long ago we were in Mr Poorbaughs class doing homework and copy...like I would do one homework and you would copy and you would do the other homework and I would copy . Do you remember that? You were always respectful and very nice. Hope life is treating you kind. Class of 84...WE ROAR !!! Take care.
