Christine M. (Lakovits) Odiorne

March 11, 1957 ~ October 24, 2024 (age 67)

Tina M. Odiorne, 67, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, unexpectedly at her home.  

Tina was born in South Bend on March 11, 1957, to the late John J. and Suzanne J. (Harley) Lakovits.  She grew up in the area and was a graduate of LaSalle High School.  Growing up, Tina was involved in the St. Joe County 4-H fair, showing horses. Through her working years she did many different things. She worked in manufacturing, and most recently spent spring time assisting at the Martins Greenhouse in South Bend which she enjoyed very much and working at Sports Image Apparel.

She loved her Corgis. She enjoyed showing her dogs and belonged to the Kennel Club. Tina also enjoyed going to the local casinos. She was an Elvis fan who would go out of her way to see his impersonators who came to the area. All who knew her know she loved the simple farm life and being with her loving family.

Christine is survived by her loving daughters, Denise Higgenbottom of Mishawaka, Erin (Robert) Juday of Berrien Springs, Michigan and Theresa Hutkins of Elkhart. She was the proud grandmother of Henry and Eli Higgenbottom, Bella Yoder, and the twins, Alyssa and Olivia Hutkins. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Andy) Riley of New Richmond, Ohio.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 SR 23, South Bend. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 31st at 10:00 a.m. in Highland Cemetery of South Bend. Where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.
