Nancy Louise (Burkus) Meyer, 62, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 unexpectedly after a brief illness at Memorial Hospital South Bend.
Born September 20, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana to William and Leona (DeWeirdt) Burkus, who preceded her in death.
First wed to Douglas (Mary) Anderson with whom she bore her two only children Douglas (Christine) Anderson of South Bend, grandchildren Elizabeth and Bradley, and beloved daughter Kelly Brooke Anderson whom preceded her in death.
Her final love, Thomas Meyer, she wed on August 9, 2017 in Gatlinburg, TN.
Nancy is survived by her husband Tom Meyer, son, brothers Phillip Burkus of South Bend and Kevin (Andria) Burkus of Elkhart, Indiana, sisters Janice (Kenneth) Ernsberger of Bremen, Indiana, Julie (John) Van Laere of St. Augustine, Florida, and Linda (Donald) Curl of New Carlisle, Indiana.
Nancy loved traveling with Tom and being able to relax on a beach any day she could. She was her grandchildren's biggest fan in everything they did. Family was everything to Nancy.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends from 4p-7p Monday May 22 at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561.
