Stephen Paul Botchkai

June 21, 1951 ~ October 25, 2024 (age 73)

Stephen P. Botchkai, born on June 21, 1951, in South Bend, IN, graced the world with his presence until his peaceful passing in Fort Wayne, IN, on October 25, 2024. A proud graduate of Lasalle High School, Class of 1969, Stephen was known for his exceptional skills on the wrestling mat and his dedication to staying fit throughout his life.

His journey took him into the role of an RV transporter for a short time. Stephen was cherished by his family, including his late parents, Louis E. Botchkai and Mary (Fuzy) Botka. His love and memories will be kept alive by his sisters, Shirley (Michael) Kucharski and Janet (Kevin) Kelly, brother, Louis Botka, son, Stephen “Scott” Botka, daughter, Amanda Pollander, and his longtime trusted friend Carol Anderson. He now rejoins his grandparents, Louis and Helen Botchkai, in eternal rest. Stephen's vibrant spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

At this time per the families’ wishes there will be no services. A burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend.
