It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen R. Green, who departed this world peacefully on February 13, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on May 3, 1974, to Samuel Green and Amber (Oliver) Green, both of whom he has now joined in eternal rest.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie, his sister, Georgia Franklin of Wisconsin, and his brothers, Samuel Green Jr. and Michael L. Green, both of South Bend, along with Anthony Green of Elkhart, who will forever treasure the memories of their shared brotherhood. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will deeply miss his warm presence and the love he generously shared with them.
Stephen's academic pursuits led him to Ivy Tech Community College, where he studied business. Stephen was an artist at heart. His passion for drawing and painting was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his soul. Through his artwork, he communicated with colors and shapes, bringing to life the beauty he saw in the world around him. His creations were a testament to his talent and a gift to all who had the pleasure of viewing them.
Those who knew Stephen will remember him for his calm and quiet demeanor. His smile was a constant, a symbol of the joy he found in simple pleasures and the love he had for those around him. He was a beacon of warmth, welcoming friends and family alike with an open heart and a gentle spirit.
Stephen’s life was one marked by his deep love for his family. He took great joy in the simple pleasures of life, finding happiness and fulfillment in moments spent with loved ones. Stephen’s passing is a significant loss to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will continue to celebrate his life and the many ways he touched their lives. He has left an indelible mark on the world, one that will be remembered with fondness and gratitude.
