Sallie was a delightful young woman. She was wise, funny, smart, kind, and very creative. See her blog (https://thoughtsbysallie.wordpress.com/) Sallie was a LMFT and worked with refugees at AACI in San Jose, California in the Center for Survivors of Torture. Her clients loved her because she knew how to love them unconditionally. I'm her mom and people sympathize with me. They tell me how sorry they are and how awful it is to lose a child. They are so right. It is really awful, but I am even more sad for the refugees who will never get a chance to know her. She would have been a safe haven for them.
