NEW CARLISLE Christine E. Jankowski, 48, of Chicago Trail, New Carlisle, Ind., died at 1:55 a.m., Thursday, in her residence.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1947, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by her parents, John E and Regina J. (Grzesk) Jankowski of New Carlisle.

Miss Jankowski was an English teacher at LaSalle High School in South Bend. She was a graduate of New Carlisle High School. She received her bachelors degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., and she received her masters degree from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind.

She was a member of the Rosary Sodality of the church.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct 21, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the St Joseph Flmerai Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Sunday Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend., IN 46637-3437.
